hi Christof Meerwald

As far i know, there is no way to installing app from Tizen Store in Emulator.

Yeah this was really funny project...

I spend long time... also with RD-PQ...

Maybe you are realized that native Apps for Emulator require NOT arm... but x86 ...

Then maybe you understand, why you can not run ARM Binary on Emulator...

You have to write your own App...

:)

Or depend what ever you want... there are alternate solution(s) possible.

If you dream about Gear Wearables... this is NOT Tizen Store... only mobiles enter Tizen Store...

Wearables are in Samsung "Galaxy"...

Aehh... there are platform independent HTML5 apps. Native apps can be built and packaged for multiple platforms and then there would be the option of using binary emulation.

Peter Wegner

Yes.

Widgets (.wgt) can run on Emulator at PC...

But you have still the "problem" from where you get them?

:)

With Tizen Store on Tizen Device...

You need ROOT...

For "collect" apps native TPK and/or Widgets *.wgt your requirements are MINIMUM:

Tizen Device

+

Tizen Store app which is native ARM compiled:

org.tizen.tizenstore

If you have no Tizen device... Tizen Store app alone is useless...

There is no way with 1 click to add Tizen Store to PC Emulator or to other PC...

org.tizen.tizenstore also fails on Reference devices... like RD-PQ and TM1 for instance...

As important parts missing...

No idea if now more clear to you.

Different problem if you dream about Gear Apps or Smart TV...

Mobiles have:

org.tizen.tizenstore

Wearables

"Android Store"

TV

"TV Store"

In theory it is no magic... as Store is simple Server...

In theory you could access via Browser... BUT... it is all protected...

If you find an way.

Let me know.

Let me guess, despite the app being named "org.tizen.tizenstore", source code is not available on git.tizen.org?

Peter Wegner

I have never seen Source Code of org.tizen.tizenstore... maybe I've searched not hard enough... harhar :)

For me this combination work perfect:

rooted Tizen device SM-Z130H + installed org.tizen.tizenstore + tiny little knowledge since bada times

You could also find few apps which are preinstalled in Firmware packages... extract files from rootfs.img and csc.img. So you have your test "examples" for

Emulator...

Btw. I have forgotten to tell... Commercial certs are missing in Emulator Images... you could:

A add missing certs

B sign TPK or WGT

Also Reference devices like RD-PQ and TM1 have no commercial certs... but you can easier add them, as allready rooted.

Only as info...

Somebody knows this Android App?

http://www.tizenexperts.com/2017/05/tizen-app-share-released-android-phone-cut-mobile-data-charges/

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.android.tizenstoreforretailer

What is this?

I have tried on 3 devices...

GT-I9300 with Android 4.3 app crashes...

GT-I9300 with Android 4.1 app crashes...

SM-Z130H with Android 4.4... app crashes... but later.

I need S8 ?

Uupsi...

No idea since when... but this feature seems new to me...

http://www.tizenstore.com

We can explore Tizen Store.

If I enter for instance something in Search... I get detailed Infos.

This is really cool. No idea how up to date...

But I can find Modern Combat 5... this is 1 of the newest Gameloft title.
