Java crashes while installing the official 2.1 sdk

Hi!

This morning I tried to install the official SDK (2.1) on a Win 7 x64 computer. During the installation (7th package), JAVA crashes and the installer is stopped. I tried using a SDK image or directly installing from the repository, but the result is the same. I have JDK 7 installed on the machine. Is there any known solution for that?

Best regards,

Didier

Hi! Is there any kind of log I can share to help finding the root cause? Best regards, Didier

Hi! Am I the only one in this situation? Around me I can least at least two other occurences on similar configurations (Win 7 x64). That's now a big problem for me, I'm just stuck... Thanks for your help, Didier

Hey @didiersef, I was having the same problem. Finally got it to run this morning (I have another error to deal with now though) here is what you need to do: Delete all of your Java. Download: Jre version 7 update 9 1.7.0_09-b05 32 bit version Put the new java in your PATH variable Download the 32 bit sdk and right click to run as admin. That should work! -Eric

Hi! Thanks for the recommendation, I'll give it a try. The only concern is it requires installing an older version of java - java is used for other stuff on my computer so I hope it won't break anything ... Cheers, Didier
