First of all, I realize this isn't Samsung Support. I've tried multiple Samsung support avenues and have received zero useful information regarding this issue.
So the main issue is that only the Samsung TV Plus app seems to work with the 'Power on app' feature. I have been trying to get downloaded apps to work, specifically Spectrum app to work as default 'power on app' to no avail. This issue features prominently on the Samsung TV support forum and occupies more than a few different threads. I'd be happy to link but Tizen forum doesn't allow external links.
Another highly mentioned issue regarding SamsungTV on Tizen is the inability to delete any of the pre-installed bloatware. Is there a developer mode or some kind of master access in which someone could use to rid the bloatware from their device? The Samsung Smart TV's come with a very limited storage capacity but no way of clearing the bloatware which occupies the majority of the storage space.
Any help in any of these areas would be greatly appreciated.
