Enable WiFi on Test Device with 2.1

How does one enable Wi-Fi on the test device with 2.1 installed? Settings option for turning WiFi on just does not stick/work.

My app requires internet connectivity and cant test that on device with no WiFi enabled.

Has anyone faced the same problem and been able to rectify the same?

yes, wifi is disabled and conection to gsm network as well - I can't test sending/receive SMS and http connection. I hope there is a way to unlock wifi and network in the ref device. So far it test only on device.

Which version of 2.1 image did you use? and Which device? In 20130527.6, wifi is enabled. https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Flash_Tizen_2.1_Image_to_Reference_Device

Oops. Wrong version name. It's 20130517.6 not 20130527.6.

My device: Ref.Device-PQ, ver. 2.1.0 - no Wifi, no network.

Do you use 20130517.6 version? Which version did you flash?

I didn't flash my device. I got it with Tizen 2.1 from Samsung. Where can I find info about revision you wrote? I can't see it in Settings -> About phone. Thanks.

Oh.. then it must be an old one. Reflash your device : https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Flash_Tizen_2.1_Image_to_Reference_Device You can check the exact version on the terminal if you installed tizen sdk. $ sdb shell (your desktop) # cat /etc/info.ini

Thanks Daniel. I am waiting for Seller Office QA notification due to registering my applications and after that I will try to flash my device. I hope, finally, there appears a device-image with unlocked SIM for ref devices. I saw your tizen blog. Very helpful site. Keep it up. Thanks.

I heard that wifi driver should be installed in order to access wifi. Better check with the one from whom you collected the device
