Installing early access SDK on Windows 8.1 64bit

I've tried numerous times to install the 2.3.1_RC15 SDK on a windows 8.1 64bit system that is fully updated with Java JDK and JRE 8u45 installed, yet the installer hangs up everytime i choose the SDK package.

Hi,

It looks like that Intel HAXM make your problem. In my case, I've rebooted my pc and could see the Intel HAXM setup on the screen finally.

And you can find more information about Intel HAXM in below link.

Hi,

I tried installing the Tizen HAXM 1.0.5 but no luck... my machine supports virtualization, below are screenshots of my machine CPU configuration and error message:

Ahmed,

How about you install SDK without HAXM?   for me, I've cancelled installing it while installing SDK.

Hi Daniel,

The problem seems to be beofre reaching HAXM installation, it just hangs up once I choose the SDK image file

Hello,

Hardware feature required by HAXM may be disabled by BIOS or OS. If meet installation failure because of hardware requirement, please check BIOS/OS as followed suggestion:

  1. Make sure VT is enabled in BIOS.
  2. Make sure Execute Disable Bit is enabled in BIOS.
  3. Make sure Data Execution Prevention is enabled in Windows. On the windows platform, click Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Performance section, Options (or Settings) button > Data Execution Prevention. Make sure that DEP is enabled.
