I have been trying to install Tizen SDK on both Windows 10 (two separate computers) and on Ubuntu 18.04 and 16.04. On all of these, I get actual IDE installed, but I can't launch emulator manager. I have tested both "official" java and open-jdk, no difference. This is very frustrating, as I have previously worked with many IDEs, but no IDE has been so difficult to get running as Tizen SDK is.
Could Samsung please provide step-by-step instructions, how Tizen SDK should be installed on top of Ubuntu 16.04 virtual machine, so that everything works as it should? Please specify accurately, which packages should be installed, which version of JDK should be selected etc. Current instructions are missing at least the gettext package, also they don't clearly specify, which JDK version should be installed.
Best would be, if you could just give us an appliance (e.g. VirtualBox .ovf) file, which already contains the full, working installation.
