Tizen 2.4 Beta version critical bug wiped out my entire pc!

Hi,

I had installed Tizen 2.3 SDK for development. Recently, I upgraded to the latest Tizen 2.4 SDK Beta version.

After starting for the first time, it asked for the workspace. I didn't change the default workspace which was used by Tizen 2.3 SDK.

After Tizen 2.4 SDK opened, the projects present in the workspace were imported automatically.

But  the projects couldn't build for 2.4. So, i tried to clean the projects one by one.

As soon as I cleaned the first project, it wiped out the entire contents of Linux PC!

This totally sucks!

Hi,

According to below release note, you need to use Tizen SDK 2.3.1 for your previous project.

Tizen 2.4.0 beta SDK Release Notes

The Tizen 2.4 Beta SDK supports the development of Tizen 2.4 applications only.   To develop an application based on the Tizen 2.3 platform, you must use the Tizen 2.3 SDK.

BTW, I've imported project of 2.3.1 into IDE of 2.4b and cleaned. but source was kept. did your source is removed?

I posted this a while ago (for 2.3):

https://developer.tizen.org/forums/sdk-ide/poor-sdk-code-quality

and, worse, the problem was acknoledged and I was promised a fix:

=>[Yeongkyoon] You are right. It will be fixed in next Tizen SDK release coming soon.

I'm still running tizen SDK as a separate user because I simply don't trust it.
